This Competition is promoted by LawVu Limited, a company incorporated in New Zealand (NZBN: 9429041747247) whose registered office is at 26-28 Wharf Street, Tauranga, 3110, New Zealand (the Promoter).
The Promoter may use affiliates and service providers to administer the Competition, but remains responsible for the Competition and these Terms.

The “Competition” is the Clause Dash Contract Risk Challenge, an online skill-based competition hosted at https://lawvudraft.com/how-fast-can-you-spot-a-risky-clause/ (the Competition Page).
Competition Period: The Competition opens on April 13, 2026, at 12:00 GMT and closes at 23:59 GMT on June 30, 2026 (the Closing Date). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be eligible.
Entry is open to individuals who, at the time of entry: (a) are aged 18 or over; (b) are currently employed as a qualified lawyer, either (i) as an in-house lawyer within the legal department of a business or organization; or (ii) as a lawyer at a law firm; (c) are resident in the United Kingdom or the United States of America; (d) have a valid email address; and (e) accept these Terms and Conditions at the point of entry.
Individuals are not eligible to enter who are (a) employees, directors, officers, contractors, or agents of the Promoter and its affiliates; (b) involved in the administration, judging, or operation of this Competition; and (c) immediate family members (spouse, civil partner, parent, child, or sibling) of any person in (a) or (b).The Promoter may verify the eligibility and disqualify any entrant who does not meet these eligibility requirements. Proof of identity and employment may be required before awarding the prize.
To enter the Competition, entrants must:
Entry is free of charge. No purchase is necessary.
Limit of one (1) entry per person. Only the first completed entry associated with an email address will be counted. Subsequent attempts using the same email address will not qualify as additional entries and will not be used to replace a prior score.
Entries made by automated means, bots, scripts, or any other mechanism that does not constitute genuine individual participation are void and will be disqualified. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any entry they reasonably believe to have been made other than by a genuine individual playing the game in the manner intended.
The Competition is a contest of skill. Winners are determined solely by performance in the Clause Dash game. No element of chance is involved in the selection of winners.
Scores are calculated by the Competition system based on the accuracy and speed with which the entrant identifies risky clauses during their play-through. The scoring methodology and the system’s recorded scores are final.
Following the Closing Date, valid entries will be ranked by score (highest to lowest). The three (3) entrants with the highest scores will each be awarded a prize, subject to eligibility verification and these Terms.
The Promoters' decision in relation to all matters connected with the judging and winner selection process is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
If two or more entrants achieve equal scores and are tied for a winning place, the tied entrants will be invited by email to participate in a tie-break play-off (a “Battle”).
Each Battle will be a further play-through of the Clause Dash game completed within 30 days of the notification of the Battle by the Promoter. The tied entrant with the highest Battle score will win the relevant place. If a tie remains, further Battles will be held until it is resolved.
If a tied entrant does not respond or participate within the time stated, they will be deemed to have withdrawn.
There are three (3) prizes available, one for each of the three highest-scoring eligible entrants. Each prize consists of one (1) gift card to a travel provider of the Promoters' choosing (the Voucher), with a value based on the winner's country of residence at the time of entry: (a) United Kingdom: £800 (GBP); or (b) United States of America: $800 (USD); or
The total prize pool across all three winners does not exceed GBP£2,400.
The Voucher is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternative prize. No interest accrues on the Voucher value.
The prize is personal to the winner and may not be transferred to or shared with any other person.
The Promoters may substitute the Voucher with an alternative prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond their reasonable control.
The Voucher is provided by a third party and is subject to the issuer’s terms and conditions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third-party provider.
a) Delivery: The Voucher will be delivered electronically to the winner’s entry email address within 30 days after eligibility verification is completed. (b) Taxes: Winners are responsible for all taxes and other charges arising from receipt or use of the prize. The Promoter will not gross up or reimburse any taxes. (c) Claiming: If a winner does not claim their prize (including by providing required verification information) within 30 days of notification, the Promoter may withdraw the prize and offer it to the next highest-scoring eligible entrant. (d) Voucher restrictions: The Voucher may be subject to restrictions (including expiry date for use, blackout dates, availability, and geographic limits) imposed by the issuer. The Promoter is not responsible for issuer restrictions.
Winners will be notified by email to the address provided at entry within 30 days of the Closing Date (or, where a tie-break Battle is required, within 30 days of the conclusion of the relevant Battle).
Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and proof of their current employment as a qualified lawyer prior to the release of any prize.
If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the required period, fails to provide satisfactory proof of eligibility, or declines the prize, the Promoters reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select the next highest-scoring eligible entrant as a replacement winner.
The Promoters may publish or make available the winner’s surname and country/state of residence and winning score. Winners may object when responding to the winner notification email. If a winner objects, the Promoter may still provide the information to regulators where required.
Competition administration: By entering, entrants agree that the Promoter may collect and use personal data provided at entry and generated through participation (including name, email address, employment details, gameplay data, and scores) to administer the Competition, prevent fraud and prohibited conduct, verify eligibility, notify winners, and deliver prizes.
Marketing (optional): Entrants may opt in to receive marketing communications by selecting the relevant checkbox at the point of entry. Marketing consent is not a condition of entry. Entrants may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting privacy@lawvu.com. Withdrawal will not affect an entry already submitted or a prize already awarded.
Privacy policy: Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy at https://lawvu.com/trust-center/privacy/privacy-policy/.
International transfers and service providers: The Promoter is based in New Zealand and may use affiliates and service providers in other countries. Personal data may be processed in New Zealand and other jurisdictions, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.
Retention: Personal data will be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for Competition administration and related compliance purposes. Where an entrant has opted in to marketing, contact details may be retained for marketing until consent is withdrawn (or as otherwise permitted by law).
No sale: The Promoter does not sell personal data collected in connection with the Competition.
Use of results and insights: By entering, entrants grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, analyze, and aggregate Competition-related data (including gameplay data and scores) to administer and improve the Competition and to create anonymized or aggregated insights.
(a) Void where prohibited: The Competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law. (b) Changes/cancellation: The Promoter may cancel, suspend, or amend the Competition or these Terms where circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control make this necessary. Where reasonably practicable, any change will not materially disadvantage entrants who have already entered. (c) Technical issues: The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or not received due to technical failures or other causes outside its reasonable control. (d) Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the Competition or from acceptance or use of a prize, except that nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). (e) Severability: If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will continue in effect. (f) Entire terms: These Terms are the entire agreement between the entrant and the Promoter regarding the Competition. (g) Platform disclaimer: This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with LinkedIn, Google, Microsoft, or any other platform where promotional materials may appear.
UK entrants: If you are resident in the United Kingdom, these Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
US entrants: If you are a resident of the United States, these Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, and the state and federal courts located in the state of Delaware will have jurisdiction.
Mandatory rights: Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws that apply to you.
